is it possible to lower a vr by just changing the springs or do i need to do the shocks as well? also would i need a lift to do it or could i do it with a jack?
You are better off getting shorten shocks, so that the springs don't fall out if you go over a bump or something...and just use your jack... Are you doing the front aswell?
depends on how short your going, king lows you wont need to but anything else prob a sefe bet. and yeah just jack the car up.
yea i was gonna go 2'' lower at the front and 1.5'' at the back, could i adjsut my shock to make them shorter or would i need to buy new ones?
i had mine lowered 2.5inch rear and 1.5inch front and all i changed was the springs. no problems at all
no you dont need a hoist. you shouldnt need shortened shocks if your only lowering 2 inches. if your VR is live axel the rears are very simple just jack up one side and your spring may just come out with a little force, if it doesnt undo the bottom shocker bolt and push the diff down and pull the spring out. to put new springs just do that same thing in reverse. fronts are more difficult, undo all the top strut bolts, the 2 bolts that connect the hub to the strut and pull the strut out. compress the spring and undo top strut bolt, remove spring and reinstall in reverse process.. good luck
