New T56 manual gear box?

Hello all,

I have a problem with my T56 Manual 6 speed gear box in my series one VY SS, All the gears are fine 1 through to six, But when I put it into reverse it pops out and starts grinding, Need to stop and repeat, some times up to four time before it stays in gear. Would I need a full recondition of the gear box or can the reverse be fixed? Any feedback would be great< I have seen some prices and they are not cheap, nearly what the car is worth. thanx

Seems to be a not uncommon issue if you google it. Most forums seems to say it's an issue with the reverse syncro, so no full rebuild.
