VE SV6 2007
Hi, I just joined. I just bought a 2007 VE SV6 auto. I got a Tag towbar and wiring from wreckers and put that on. Found some good instructions here.
This morning bought an engine code reader on ebay..........
I'll try to look after my car myself, I'm oldschool backyard mower mechanic/handyman.
It looks like a great place to learn.cheers

My mate was given this from his uncle.... It has been sitting in his yard for 4 years. I did the vin check pps, it's not stolen just encumbered. He has to call the finance co. tuesday to make a deal.....
No key, flat battery, but its got 140km..
Just want to start it up to see if it goes before spending $500 to get key and new battery.......
I'm getting an old battery to try it out. Before buying the special vented battery ..
Lucky doors are open.
I found the thread on starting without key but lost it... keep trying.
Pumped the tyres up today, they didn't loose much air over 4 years.
Needs a windscreen
cheers

The centre console lid had a broken hinge, so I took it off and plastic welded the plastic lug back on. The front plastic latch was broken on one side, plastic welded that as well.
The cause of the broken lug was 2 pieces of plastic onleft side of the hinge to hold the lid in the up position, but they must have put too much pressure on the hinge and broke it. I just busted them off. Now the lid feels good.....

Passenger door latch back end piece was loose, just took the inspection plug off and tightened it up with 8mm socket.
I'm not going to fix the cd player as I don't buy music CDs.

I took the spoiler off the boot as the clear was peeling and it looked bad, and now I can see better when using trailers...
I put the spoiler on gumtree.........
cheers
Jack

Hi guys, I’m new to this site aswell, I try to do a lot of things on my ride myself but don’t hesitate to tap out when needed or I know from experience if you make a mistake it can be costly lol. I would love to talk with someone about ve & vz sv6 engine swaps so if anyone is knowledgeable PM me so I can ask some questions, thanks
