NEW VN~VS Manual Console Shifter surrounds via Rare Spares

Well here comes the end of another one of those eBay stealer rorts that's long been a license to print money.

Yes Rare Spares are remanufacturing the top shifter surrounds and boots etc. for manual equipped cars. This will put an end to the $400 plus being asked via ebay stealers.

Love it !


All we need now is for them to remanufacture the instrument cluster (dash) fascia that normally has all it's clip posts that constantly break off due to becoming brittle over the years.

Any ideas of prices they are asking?

I am a little surprised it has taken so long, however with thee cars starting to age, it shouldn't be long before a heap of other things become available through them

with the amount of people doing engine swaps and going to manual this is fantastic, they have had the boots for a while but the center console insert will be well received, i know a mate has been wanting a new one for his ss for a while as his is just looking horrible with age.

now one can hope they will start doing all the other little bits for vn-vs that we despiratley need like the dash surrond as vs-lover has said. door lock surronds and the little red thing that goes with. washer bottle for the vr-vs would be nice as well as they are getting difficult to get with people wanting drug money for them.

Have also heard the quality is not what it used to be on a lot of stuff also.

Just get one off a VR and you'll never need one again. The VS ones were garbage.

And yes Rare Spares is right off the Richter scale with their prices, so genuine "good" ones will still command top money for the purists like myself. For skid pig type cars they'll never be cheap enough either way.
