Hey peoples im looking for some feed back on something I'm making an airbox to suite a pod filter it will be fully enclosed and going into production My question is does it really need a lid on top so people can get to the filter ? the airbox isn't that hard to put in and remove take me 1 min with no intake tube there at the moment my air box is one piece but before i go any further i would like to see what people think sorry no pic's top secret stuff you know lol now i can put a lid on it but i think it won't look as good with a seam running around the top as it is now its a clean look and kind of blends in well with what there already adding a lid would also add to the price :? but is it worth paying more to have a lid that you might open once or twice a year when you could have a neat 1 piece box that take 2 mins to remove and works out cheaper to buy ? Yes i will put up pic's but not till i'm happy with it when ever that is right now it 95% done just needs a bit of cleaning up on a few of the lines
personally I wouldn't bother having a removable lid, it would be easier to replace filter but at the end of the day it depends how much extra the one with the lid would be if its gonna be $100+ extra for a lid don't bother.
Well this is what i ended up making one piece airbox just done one in black gel coat to see what it would look like will probably do a carbon fibre one soon as well as a new rad cover maf and pod are inside the airbox makes it look a bit cleaner
looks good! so the ss big mouth thing is connected up to point at the pod? or does it get air from behind the headlight?
ss intake is no longer used i'll be making a radiator cover with it deleted air is coming in from behind headlight and over the top of headlight plenty of cold air coming in there
yeah who cares about the lid unless its only going to be $20 more keen for one maybe but how much will it cost ?? for a normal one and a carbon fibre one
