Googled Performance Packages for VF2 V8 online. Independent Motor Sport in Melbourne does Stage 4 Package at $6910 which is similar to Tekno's Stage 2 Package at $8495. That's $1500 cheaper. My ute has done nearly 22,000 km, changed the oil and filter this afternoon, the oil filter wrench tool makes life much easier and I can tighten the filter precisely at 3/4 turn. Money well spent.

Forgot to mention that Tekno Stage 2 and Independent Motor Sport Stage 4 both claim around 420 kw at flywheel and 340 kw at rear wheels.

Those just add a small cam on top of a normal 375/385 kit right? Seems like a lot of money for an extra 40 rwkw (i'm getting 300 at the wheels for $4800). Tekno are just as expensive as Walkinshaw so should not be a yardstick of good value. The Independent price seems good but I've not heard of them, make sure you can find some positive reviews of their LS work. If you're looking around Melbourne look at C&A Auto as well.

c & a autofashion (melbourne) use the same exhuast and otr as walkinshaw and claim to get more power and there package is arpund $4800

Thanks guys, wish I were living in Sydney/Melbourne, hard to find good workshops in Canberra, there are GenTech and AutoTech, I wasn't happy with GenTech when they did the CAI on my Falcon Turbo ute before. Perhaps I go to talk to AutoTech and see what they can do.

Gentech did a great job on my Redline. I found Kit very good to deal with.

Anyone used JDR in Picton to have their W performance pack installed? They claim to run a custom tune on every car rather than the generic flash tune which I though was nice.

I spoke to JDR. They sound professional and seem to know what they're talking about.
For me it's either JDR in Picton or Nas Automotive Performance in Thornleigh
I'm planning on the W375 next month but thinking of the W407.

I have the w375 kit without the walkinshaw price tag (difilippo system)
- vcm maffless cold air intake
- DPE 1" 7/8 headers ceramic coated
- DPE full 3 inch exhaust system (doesnt drop into 2.5 inch like the walkinshaw system)
- custom tune
Has no drone in my sedan
Drives exactly the same as stock except theres more power every where. And sounds ******* tough.. Will be going with the harrop h02 cam next.

My 2 cents on the walkinshaw system is that its over priced and doesn't support future mods (supercharger, big heads etc) as well as other systems that are out there for a lot cheaper!
