I'm about to buy a set of splits, they don't have crossovers or anything. Am I right to use the existing wiring - and will this be as simple as plugging both the new woofers and tweeters in where the old ones were?

I want to avoid running new wiring if I can, as it sounds like a pain, and I'm not building a million dollar setup here, so its not really necessary right?

My brother mentioned something about a filter in the wiring? They are Alpine SPR-175A 6.5" speakers, if anyone is familiar with them.

Thanks!
