VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
We hired a VW Passat to travel the UK. The Skoda was also an option and at Heathrow, looking in one, there were some styling differences but same same pretty much.

Generally it's like a lower spec Passat.

I liked the Passat Wagon so much, that if it had some decent ponies under the bonnet, I’d consider owning one.

It was the engine that let it down.

I believe we are getting the all wheel drive variation

Actually skodas are mostly better equipped than equivalent VWs, the overlap in VAG is big. It breaks down to perception (and styling), as the chassis, engines, equipment, infotainment, build quality are all identical
  • Skoda - cheaper, value for money, quirky - still a small hangover from Soviet block era bad quality
  • Seat - sporty, stylish
  • VW - premium, quality, germanic
Wife used to have a Seat Ibiza, looked great, nice interior, fun little three cylinder engine, but was a solid bit cheaper than the Polo.

UK rozzers have had skodas for ages.
VRS had the 135kw turbo 1.8, more than enough to catch hoodies in a stolen Corsa
