Hey guys,

My friend, who knows nothing bout cars, has no internet, and just drives a really tired old commodore, has cracked the cam cover in his Commodore (I Didnt even know thats possible!) Basically, radiator has a leak, and he doesnt check things, and just drove it, and obviously overheated.

Sorry Im so ignorant, but im sure its a VB, its a 1979 model, and he says its a 2.2l, but I think he must mean 202? 3.2L right?

Just asking, so i can try and source the parts for him to fix it!

Cheers!

2.8 L is a 173cc (baby 6) ; 3.0L = 186cc; 3.3L = 202cc

I thought the 2.85L engine was 186ci, and the 3.3L was 202ci, cause holden never produced a 3.0L (except the Nissan engine in the VL)

"Cracked a cam cover" , can you post a picture or give a better description of where abouts this cover is!
As the red motor, timing gear/cam cover is at the lower front of the motor, behind where all the pulleys are and would probably be only damaged in a crash.
