Hi all this is my 1st post!

I am a proud owner of a VR SS 5 speed.

I am chasing down a front bumper strip. It is missing and i would like to get 1.

I was thinking if i couldn't find it in red i'll just have to get it painted.

Could anyone help me out what are they worth brand new? Are they found very often in wreckers/ What sort of dollars do they fetch?

Regards, Woody

welcome dude, i doubt wreckers would sell you one aye...they tend to want to sell the whole bumper instead of separating. but they do sell similar stuff at auto barn that is used as side molds...you could get that and paint it red just measure it to make sure it fits

ask crash repairers. They can usually get trims and moulds for cheap

I'd check wreckers first - you just need the strip so it can be any colour but you may be lucky and get red - lots of bumpers are damaged and unsaleable and left on the wreck. Usually the strip is still intact as it flexes - peel it off ....then paint it red - use oil paint - an exact match will be impossible but probably not needed as the other strips are a fair distance away. A new one (if available) will be brighter than your faded ones anyway.
Otherwise check the crash repairs as -ToM- suggests.
