Newborn found dead in Vic public toilet A newborn baby has been found dead in a public toilet at a camping ground in south-west Victoria. Believed to be only hours old, the baby was found by a camper at the Meredith Park camping ground in Irrewarra, near Colac, about 8.30am (AEDT) on Sunday, police said. A police spokeswoman said the baby had yet to be recovered from the toilet and its sex was unknown. It is not known if the baby was full term. A police crime scene has been established and homicide detectives are travelling to the scene. This happened at Lake Colac as well. It's disgusting. The least the mother could have done was put the child up for adoption and given it a chance at life. There is nothing i hate more than anyone who brings harm of any kind to any child. I seriously have the deepest hate for people like that. :bang:
who said that she drowned it? therew was a case with the chick up the road, she didnt know she was pregs until she went to the toilet and out it popped, so that news story goes.
It is possible not to notice and does happen, and a guy I worked with's wife did not know and went to the hospital one night due to "cramps" and she had the baby. However you would know when your giving birth regardless. It is a horrible thing for this to happen and I can only hope other ppl have more common sense and compassion. As was said before you can always give up for adoption and there are other ways, Very sad
I don't remember hearing or seeing anything in the news about this and I follow the news closely. Maybe it's just one of those regular things that it simply isn't news worthy anymore?
I'm from the area, been on the local paper, Herald sun. sun website and last nights late news. Maybe it didn't get as far as you? Horrible thing really. the mother must be going through heaps....
There was one here in Adelaide last year, where a baby was found in femine hygine disposal unit (tampon bin) There is the junkie theory, the paniced teenager, or the just unstable. Who knows, but hope the mum is found & gotten the help she needs. Also it does say that they are unsure of gestation, it may not have been a 'baby' maybe it was a pre-term fetus? in which case would be a miscarriage. even still, medical help would be best sought for the mum.
I really really hope that there is some sort of reasoning behind this i.e. miscarriage. I look at my daughter and i just get really really ****ing angry thinking how someone can do that to a baby.
This literally makes me feel sick. Don't even want to think about it, just can not understand how someone could do such a thing.
It's common for girls to miscarrage in a toilet, I mean if you are feeling cramps and sick and probably a fever where else would you go. This may have been the case. Don't be so quick to judge what happened when you don't know and what would you do if something tradjic of that magnitude happened to you, there's alot of people on here with hard luck stories but I doubt many beat being alone in pain in a toilet block loosing your baby one way or another. I'm sure it would have been freak out situation and she probably just got home as quick as she could in some kind of hysteria and is in a corner crying somewhere right now. Hate never helped anyone
too true greenfoam... this could be a totally different case, she might be dead in the bushes from birth complications... so many people have just assumed she dumped it, there are so many unknown factors here, noone knows and therefore cannot judge aZk.
