Once again as we are late, this issue will be both 4 and 5 as per the previous one.
As per the usual ritual let us welcome all the new member’s, all 807 of you and a hello to the old member’s of Just Commodores. The site is growing so fast we can hardly believe our eyes so as you could understand it’s very hard to keep up with everything which we certainly aren’t going to complain about so let’s keep up the good work guy’s and keep it rolling in the forward direction.
This month has certainly been a hectic month, this month has been ever so exciting for members of JC. We have recently seen the implementation of the new .com.au domain so Just Commodores is now ofically an Australian web site as commented in the forum. The .com.au domain name has been in the making now for close to 3 months with Darren having to overcome several major hurdles on the way, what can we say things simply didn't go as planned, there was a couple of disaster plans and we used every ounce of them, things started to go well then all of a sudden everything turned ugly. Never the less we got there in the end and despite the recent slump in new signups due to our rankings falling through the floor on all major search engines we have already hit the top search engine rankings once again where we belong.
To compliment all these changes we've begun advertising the site on a commercial medium, meaning things can only get better. Again we believe this to be another first for an Australian automotive forum which understandably we are pretty excited about with more to come as time permits.
Just a quick small reminder as most of you are all probably aware we have implemented some small restrictions for the ''For Sale'' section of the forum. For those of you who haven't had the time to read about this, you can click <a href="http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/showthread.php?t=4340" target="_blank">here</a> To save you mouse clicks we've made it so members with less than 10 posts are not able to view the For Sale but those whom have got 10 or more posts there is a script which runs every hour moving you across to the appropriate member group which gives you the full ability to view and make use of the section.
At present Just Commodores is currently running a poll as we are looking at expanding the advertising campaign to bigger and better things, we are after any feedback or comments you may have in relation to how you found the site, click <a href="http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/showthread.php?t=5276" target="_blank">here</a> to view the poll and add your 2 cents + GST.
As we type this, actually by the time you read this the mods would have completed a new section, this will be the place to discuss any mods you may be thinking of making or even for those interesting in some light bedtime reading material. We have a rather large group of regular visitors who are more than willing to help a lending hand.
And yet another new section, this time round we have implemented a Motorsport section (mainly focused on the V8 Supercar series) but anything with a racing engine will satisfy in here. Gobbles has kindly donated more of his time to take care of collecting all the latest news and highlights, the section can be found <a href="http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=42" target="_blank">here</a>. If you love your V8 racing and lets face it there wouldn't be too many out there who enjoy their Commodores but not like the superb sound of them of 30 odd V8's pounding the pavement, feel free to come in and add your contribution.
Most of the ideas above have been discussed between the Admin and Mod team, everything we receive via email does get read, we may not always get a chance to reply but we do our very best. On that note if you have something you wish to put forward to us whether it be a simple bit of feedback, suggestion etc etc why not drop us an email <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>
