YV II Acclaim, non daily.
For anyone interested, I'm currently undertaking a several thousand km trip across this large country of ours.

my last fill up only needed 40 litres and i had travelled 520km since the last fill, I'm always filling up before the last white line on the fuel gauge - clearly we're being a bit over cautious. These are the kinds of consumption figures I have been experiencing the whole journey. All 110 zones with cruise locked on the whole time.

The cars loaded with 2 blokes and a boot load of equipment and suitcases, car hasn't missed a beat and we are already nearly at our destination. Not much fatigue experienced in this old car - ultra comfortable especially with new drivers seat, gotta love it.

For the illiterate, you're running at

7.6923076923076923076923076923077 L/100km.

That's about as good as it gets. Everything in that car is working absolutely fine! Go and get stuffed Prius you pricks!! Hahahahahahaha!!

Yep, sounds about right. I get the same on the highway in my VY.

In standstill bumper to bumper city traffic however, the figure starts to creep up to about 12-13 L/100km.

I did a 400klm round trip on half a tank, constant slowing and speeding up while traveling through towns was pretty impressed, oh it's a 02 vx s2 exec with 373ks on the clock :)

This quickly turned into a bragging thread.

Well I get 2.8L/100km on my postie bike at WOT 100% of the time in 100% city driving. Hasn't been serviced in 3 years. Someone beat that.

PS. Before anyone asks, my V8 runs on my ego, which has enough power to fuel a V12.

Which way are we bragging? I get about 18L/100km cos I choose to (OD? Pffft). Plus Caltex said fuel sales are down thanks to all the 'fuel conscious drivers'. Someone has to keep them in business and carbon levels up, blower in a month should help take the pressure off my right foot, been getting sore lately.
