who cares, it's not your car and if you don't like it, don't look at it.

modding cars isn't all about go fast bits either. some people aren't after performance when they decide to customise their car.

Opinions are like arseholes, everyone's got one. Personally i think on sort points you are correct but for the most you are incorrect. Nic's car looks fine. Alot of hard works gone into it and he deserves kudos for that.

    Does anyone have a 140A alternator from 5.7Litre LS1 lying around ??

It is a bit of a job pulling it out of the car just for a couple measurements, I need some more info for Mechman.

I need "center-to-center distance between the alternator mounting bolt holes"

Otherwise il pull it out in the next couple weeks :).

Any reason for Mechman over say DC Power alternators?

And how big are you going, 200? 300 amps?

I would like 300A+. or what ever they recommend for me as I filled out there quote form.

I haven't really heard of many alternator places so I went with a well known one.

Oh and dw, I found it :D.

With the power you're running they may tell you to use more than one :p

Yeah everything I have seen is Mechman vs DC alternators. So those were the two I was going to look into at some point.

dafuq even it's a pretty clean box, cool how it shows the inside like it does especially for how big it is haha
The speakers on the inside of the doors look great, that pic from the open passenger door looks pretty clean. Just need some good rims on it and it'll be damn clean

This is what Mechman has offered me, it is built for the Pontiact GTO's. I am looking forward to this. It is 320A.

I have also been getting quotes on OTR's :).

What sort of power draw are you getting Nic? How many watts are you supplying those bad boys?

At the moment they are getting half there rms before distorting due to voltage drop. Amp draws a maximum of 475A dc. Subs are wired down to 0.5ohm with around x2 box rise.
