Looks good :D kit can be changed if it bothers you, if you like it leave it.
should be able to get a skinny flat blade in the indent on the RHS of the picture and gently lever it out

Yeah man. Looked at previous photos and looked like it had been fixed up previously. That front bar has had some repair that the previous owner did. Passes alright so I might get some fibreglass filler or something.

Get a factory plastic bar. It took me 2 months to find one for the skyline and it wasnt exactly cheap but it was worth it

those series 2 M type fronts are by far better than their shitty arse series 1 brothers. the lines in the bonnet and square headlights look far far better than the old round style IMO. if i HAD to have a 33, it'd be the M type.

that style aftermarket bar looks pretty nice when theyre done properley, you need to ditch those fkn god-aweful NARVA indicators and find the clear ones that sit recessed into it. the ones fitted are not the ones that come with the bar, some aussie douche has fitted them. redo all the gaps with new meshing (pllllease make sure you have the mesh the right way round so the rad still gets air) and youll be a lot happier with it (if you keep it)

the interior light just pops open. stick a small blade screw driver in the little 'slot' you can see on the left of pic towards the on/off button. lever the screwdiver so it slightly bends the clear plastic and itll shoot off. i havnt broken one to date, but then again i havnt worked on one for about 6 years so...

sideskirts: the M type have plastic side skirts that are different to series 1, they have screws in each wheel arch and are stuck on with double sided tape to the sill. the rear are mostly double sided taped on, 3 screws in the wheel arch and 1 or 2 underneath, there maaaaay be a screw inside the boot, but memory doesnt serve very well. problem with your current skirts is they make the car sit too low, hence why you need so much wheel arch :p honestly, the M-type skirts dont look too bad and mean you can get moar lower.

just out of curiosity. does this have a green compliance plate or a red one? who imported it? should say on the plate.

dunno what the bar is, just know the indicators dont belong :p

lol, trying to find pics of an unmolested M-type is next to impossible. anyway, here is sort-of one.

the lower bar piece is an aftermarket addon. the rest is all factory (side skirts, spoiler, etc). the red bar you posted above is series 1. M type spec 2 had the square rear spoiler which also came optional on late (95 ish era) series 1's, but came on all series 2's. front bar and side skirts brought more into line with the older R32's squared off shape. i think series 1 sales were less than expected, they trended back to the older 'boxy' styling that they kept for the 34's.

sales were low because the car was a pig. took them ages to get the chassis stiffening right. even the exhaust systems were poorly designed, youll see the series 2's have a bunch of 'dead weights' welded to the zorsts to stop the shaking around so much. the series 2's were a big step forward in engineering, then (thankfully) they dropped it altogether and went R34. there is a series 3 R33 but theyre pretty rare, think ive only ever imported 2 maybe 3 of them. from memory only difference was interior and a few extra colours, like a really nice blue.

the "R33 GTR projectors" are just stock series 2 xenons.

Yeah indicators on the 400R bars look kind of fail no matter what you do. On a street car anyway it was more of an afterthought. If I ever had to own one again it would probably be a later Series 1 with the series 2 wing and the different front bar.

i dunno, these indicators look ok to me:

you can get them in clear too which are ADR spec. not sure where from though. i have to check part numbers (dot, E, ADR etc) on lights and i recall a few of these lights being genuine ichikoh/nissan so id guess theyre from another car.

edit: just realised thats a series 1 :p fail, but the indicators are the same as what im on about

Okay yes it a 400r bar and when it find a S2 one I'll put that on. I just hope that these skirts I have on now can be covered up with the M spec ones.
I just washed it and the whole body kit is a bit boring now.

Edit: I hope the skirts cover any paint scratches that the current skirts have added. If this makes any sense to you then, yay.

o_O it has the adjustable GTR wing not like the one show in that pic of the M spec. The cars 99% stock with only aftermarket wheels n exhaust with 13000km

I'm pretty sure the gtst's came with an adjustable one, but it wasn't a gtr one.
