No brake lights on my VS commodore berlina

    hello
    Can anyone please HELP me my brake lights were working the other day intermittenly now they have completely stop working no brake lights once the brake pedal is pushed in i am just wondering what this could be ( could it be the brake switch ) i have checked fuses and nothing is wrong with them Please can someone help me ????? i recieved a defect notice for this and need it to be fixed ASAP. :bang::bang:

    help !!

    i have just tried it once again and it seems to work every now and again when the engine is running ??? very strange !!! well can anyone help me with my problem ?

    most likely the brake switch... its on the brake pedal arm up under the dash... i think its easier to get to if you remove the under dash tray with those 3 clips, etc...

    you can test if it is the switch by pulling the connection off the back of the switch and earthing it (if its ONE wire) or joining the wires (if its TWO wires) i cant remember...

    but yeah... if it is the switch... go to a wreckers and get one... they would most likely just give you the switch... or at most... $2 or something...

    most likely the switch is working intermittedly because of the vibration? (same as wriggling a faulty wire/connection)

    to add to that it may just need a clean up with some contact cleaner and re-soldering.
