no check engine light

vs v6 commodore&vs v6 91 hilux 4x4
is there a particular bulb needed to go of the brown and white wire (F5) to use the check system im currently using a 12v smallest bulb from the vs headlights
and the diagnosis connector wire white and black (B3) just gets earth to it yer
its a ecotec v6 conversion trying to get fault codes from it ..?????

vs commodore
The check engine dashlight bulb is just a normal wedge type bulb,its the same as the other wedge type bulbs used on the other warning lights and for dash illumination. The wires going to this check engine dashlight are the following,a Brown/white wire that comes from ECU wiring connector terminal F5,(located in the blue ECU connector).The opposite side of the check engine dashlight circuit goes to a Pink/black wire that goes to fuse number 10 for power.
