If the manual is anything like the series 1 ve v8s then I hope they never make the vf manual, I just traded my manual ssv for an auto ss purely because of the gearbox, makes me sick just thinking about driving another manual lol

ive got a manual series 1 (29/07/06 manufacture) and no hassles with it, bit agricultural(i like it) but i'm happy

Pretty sure they replaced the T56 with the TR-6060 in the MY12 and MY12.5 models so I'd assume the VF will get the same.
