I had a good person tell me my stop lights arent working on my VX although the stop light at the back windscreen and the light in the spoiler are working so I've checked the fuses and there fine. 6 months ago the rear blinkers and stop lights stopped working and the Holden dealer finally worked out it was the brake switch. Has anyone else had this same problem and what else could cause the stop lights to fail.
Have you checked the globes? Since you still have 2 brake lights working it won't be the brake switch.
I went down to our local auto electrics place and asked for the stop ight bulbs which they had to look up in a reference manual and then I went to fit them and the stupid pricks gave me the tail light bulbs so I ended up rating a pair of stop light bulbs from my 36 year old Toyota Crown.
