noisy gear box you tube

ok so i just got my ss back from holden the reason i sent it in cause it had a grinding noise.

they replaced some bearings

got it back still the same

i have uploaded a video not the best sound quality

you will hear the grinding and as soon as i push the clutch in it goes away then let out comes back

any help would be great

That's one of the noises my ute makes - but in the exact opposite situation. That's what my gear chatter sounds like when I'm off clutch and in neutral. 4 gearboxes, 3 clutches and god knows what else later and it's still making that noise. One of many horrible noises though. That's the least of the issues with mine.

hay man my vy done that like 2 months after i brought it. took to the michanic and he replaced cluch and recond the gear box no probs since
how many km she done ?

if happens with clutch released (drive to the box)
the noise is likely to be either
low oil
noisy clutch plate springs
un-lubed throw out bearing on shaft
shaft bearing either end of laygear OR in put shaft bearing

Yeah mines the same as yours tinsnips when in neutral and clutch out makes that chutter noise then when the clutch is in it goes away

Be taking it in on Monday see what they say

34,000 on the clock was doing it on and off since I bought (27,000ks) it but could never get it to do it when I took it to Holden but now does it all the time
