Hi all had a look around but couldn't find an answer. I am looking at a complete nolothane kit for my ute but there are 2 part numbers and I can't determine which wat to go.
EVOCOM6 & EVOCOM6X. A few bucks involved here so the inside line from someone who has don this would be much appreciated.
Thanks Todd

Ok sorry should have told whole story. Rang Nolothane last week they told me the X kit is for a "turnbuckle" rear link that some VEs have but when I quizzed him he was not sure how to identify this and was not real interested. I can understand that as they are direct to retail. So I went to local parts shop and they reckon the X kit has adjusters for either camber or caster but not sure which. More questions than answers! That led me here hopefully to find someone who has done the job.
Cheers Todd

Depending on what you go you could find the ride as harsh as schooner of straight Bundy OP. The handling will improve (especially with a front end kit) but ride quality will suffer.

That being said I put a few Nolathane bits throughout my car and it feels like it would handle great if I ever put it around a track.

Todd, what other parts are you replacing on your ute in Nolathane?

I want to lower my ute soon and I'm thinking of giving it a go myself so I can learn a bit and work on my ute. I have read though that when lowering (I'll probably do SSL or SSSL) some parts should be replaced with Nolathane as they don't last to long if left stock. I'm just after a bit of info on what to replace and if it's not to hard.

Cheers

Todd, if you are going to lower it, then go nolathane, it will be alot firmer, rear adjustable camber i think, as the front has castor lock washers in the kit, the front is adjusted differently, the only thing is if your springs are too hard then with the poly bushes in your front struts it tends to crash hard on bumps/bad roads,

I changed every bush to Nolathane. Only pussies reckon the ride is harsher. Handling is dramatically improved and that's what you really want out of a mod isn't it??

I agree Big Al handling has dramatic improvement, some people dont like the firmer ride, get the right combo and and its great, good ride and handling that's what you want, earliear commodores suffered from harsh ride havent noticed it so much in ve, if you mod there is always a slight compromise that comes with it.I would go alll nolethane if you intend keeping for a while (longevity) if not just rubber it and get rid of it

Hi all. Yep not lowering or doing any significant mods...more a mid-life freshen up with bushes and shockies so I can still enjoy driving it for another hundred thou. Would buy a new one but they just the same so figure I might save the 25k as I have done the SS bumper and wheels etc so I like it. Just after the skinny on those part numbers if any of you have been there before. Great site too I might add.
Thanks Todd
