im about to buy another vr which is in gc except the diff and motor, and am plannin on building it up over the next year into my new streeter. now its got a blown diff and non-irs so i want to change it to irs with an lsd. is this simply a swap and go process or is there a fair amount of work involved? cheers

umm pretty sure u cant do that without massive work to the undercarrage (even so i still dont think it would be possiable)....irs cars have tottally different undercarrage then just standard

There is no real reason to change to IRS. Its a ton of work for no gain. The live axles were set up very well and I'd throw the $$$ involved into new bushes, shocks and springs. You will be amazed how well it would drive.

It takes massive mods to put IRS into a car that didnt come with it factory. You would probably spend like 3 times the mount of the car just trying to set it up properly. if you really want IRS i suggest selling the car you have now and buying one that came with it from factory.

The floor pan of the car is different at the rear. Not a very nice job.

not just the floor pan though that would be a problem, springs, shocks, front hubs (IF you have abs) as well ast he ABS computer (If it has ABS)

it would be a massive job.

Why would you even think about doing it?.... Why do you want camber issues with IRS 2?
