yea fuel consumption isnt much, an extra 30km or so to the tank but i guess it makes a difference in the long run. are you just running the standard panel filter or have you a high flow like a K and N?

On a standard motor there is no point wasting time and money mucking around with airfilters. stick to the standard system.

Also with the "high flow" panel filters. If they are higher flowing then a standard filter, this means there is less resistance, less filtration.

yep I agree danny...the engine can only take in its own displacement volume on a natrualy aspirated engine.which is supplied by the stock intake.so for me ill be keeping away from pod filters with the understanding that the best way to get gains from the intake on a natrualy aspirated engine is to keep the air cold as possible...cold air is denser so more of it can fit into the cyclinders upping compression resulting in bigger exsplosions and more power...in saying that though the best thing to do first is the exhaust side to get rid of burnt gasses as quick as possible..no point forcing air in the intake if the exhaust cant get rid of it on the other side...
