What's the normal operating temperature of a VX V6? Also wha does your temp guage normally sit on for normal highway driving on a mild day, not too hot or cold?
I'm thinking mines not right, because sometimes it only just lifts off the bottom, and most the time runs pretty cold, not even making the 1/4 mark on the temp guage, and if this also means anything, but the other night i cranked the heater full noise for about 10 minutes on my 20km highway drive home, and it did not warm up or get hot at all. In diagnostic mode it says engine temp is usually round 60-85 degrees. Sound like a problem??

    Hi mate,

Mine (VT S2) sits on about 90'c all the time (city or highway) 5 minutes after starting.

Maybe your temp sensor is malfunctioning?

Replace the thermostat, had the same problem in several cars and it always turned out, for me, to be faulty thermostat.

yeah i was thinkin it might be a crook thermostat. Had same problem in my old vl, but it was a crook coolant temp sensor last time. Car went better too once it was fixed.
