Vs 3.8l
I'm running my vs commodore 3.8l ecotec without a thermostat I have been told that can be bad for my fuel consumption just wondering were on the temp gage is it supposed to sit at running temp

Generally around the second mark with good airflow coming through the front on an average day.

Just put a thermostat in it, it's designed to run one and it will assist with the engine reaching the optimum running temp quicker which is a good thing.

For the price of a thermostat the battle was lost. Put in a new one.Mine runs at about 1/3 up the scale. Gets to about half way o a long up hill with trailer.
