whats this peice of **** worth? make an offer i'll pass it on...
the front came to within about 2-3 inches of the engine
we also measured engine reference points to different car chasie points and they are the same as a proper vt, so looks like no movement/damage to the engine, dont know about the rest of the drivetrain, cant get underneath for a good look.

That's pretty stupid, fortunately no-one was hurt but regardless he should know better.

Unfortunately the drink-drive laws in Victoria are such a joke he'll get out of it pretty easy, probably only lose his licence for 12 months (1 month for every .01 BAC)

The sooner the law clamps down on drink drivers the better IMO
