Anybody else know what Warhammer 40,000 is? I was pretty big into it in about grade 3-4...just before pokemon came in and kicked ass. These things were friggin sweet, assemble them yourself...paint them, then they become a war game determined by Dice rolling.

I used to make and paint those, never got into playing it though lol, I had Blood Marines and my bro had Space Marines. Before that, he had Undead and I had like, Empire or something.
Yeah I used to make & paint them aswell...n I was like 10...never really got into playing with them either, played a couple of times with my friend on the lounge room floor but nothing serious, whenever we went into 'Games World' the place that sold it, there'd always be those 30+ year old virgins in there talking to the owners. Now that I think of it...reminds me of the simpsons quote when home walks into comicon..."GOOD GOD!...WHO'S MANNING THE INTERNET!?!?"

I used to play a horizontal scrolling game with 3 vikings that worked together to move through the game. I think I was playing it in the mid 90s but it was an old game even then. You couldnt move on without all 3 of your vikings, and each one had talents that were vital to getting you there. It was a single player game, you controlled all 3 vikings. As far as I can remember, one had a bow and arrow (used for operating switches etc from a distance), one could jump well (and reach places others couldnt to flick a switch letting the others though or something, and another had a shield which could protect or be used as a parachute to go down safely to operate or move something, again to allow the others through. It had a lot of hidden bits you needed to find to move on too. I cant remember which but it was either atari or nintendo, i am leaning toward atari.. and I cant remember the name of the game. Anyone know it? If I could find a copy of the game I would buy a console just to play it again ! Incidentally, I am shocked no-one has mentioned Wonder Boy or Donkey Kong..
That's the one !! Googled it, and now remember it was a Sega Megadrive... ebay here i come.. hmmm and Wonder Boy is Sega too isnt he? All three Vikings (Erik, Baleog and Olaf) have three health points which they can lose by getting hurt by enemies or by falling from great heights, and the ability to carry and use items, mainly keys, bombs, and food (which restore health points). Each of the Vikings has a unique set of abilities: Erik can run faster than the other two, can jump, and can bash through some walls (and enemies) with his helmet. Baleog can kill enemies with his sword, or from a distance with his bow (and a "life-time supply of arrows"). The bow can also be used to hit switches from a distance. Olaf can block enemies and their projectiles with his shield, use his shield as a hang glider, or as a stepping stone for Erik to enable him to reach high grounds which is not possible without the shield.
Retro stuff isnt cheap is it? This looks good to me, and has some good games, including the one I want.. how much would you guys pay?
