Hey all...just another quick question... the small single bar nudge bars seen on police cars...does anyone know where I can get them from.... Thanks Brett
Most parts houses - REPCO, Supa-Cheap - have them. Often easier referred to as a Unibar (reg trade name). There are differences in size, the Unibar is the type used by Police. It is not as deep as the 'any brand' ones and may need to check clearenses between lamps and car body when mounted.
If they are what I think you want, they mount via the number plate screw holes. As the front bar is not rigid, you may get a vibration which will be annoying when lights on. I have had one on the VZ and then subsequently took off as the super oscars I have, give about the same light spread and output as the standard lights. Now considering a larger nudge bar normally seen on utes.
I tried one of those little brackets and like malscar said they screw onto the front bumper which is flimsy, I bought a 3" airbag compatable nudge bar from TJM and was perfect, ran two hella ralley 4000 (the metal ones) spotties and worked well, heaps of light, I dont live in the country or do any long trips now so the whole setup is just sitting in the shed pm me if you are interested.
