Number plates

Hi everyone,

Does anyone else here collect number plates? I have kept them over the years but only recently decided to actively seek them out to hang in my shed. These are some that I collected while in Europe this time last year( hopefully I’ve attached it properly).

Don't want to rain on your parade but in some states I am pretty sure it's illegal to hang on to old plates as they can be used in crime.

I had to hand my SA trailer plate when I transferred it to Tas rego. If i didn't it was a whole rigomarol and paper work to explain why I couldn't.

The few jurisdictions I’ve checked, number plates are the property of the registration authorities. As such, I wouldn’t be taking number plates through any airport security check as in this day and age, you may find yourself with a please explain along with associated unplanned travel delay.
