It has a weird taste by itself. It all comes down to how you cook it. Experiment with some marinades (making sure their low sugar etc). Its a great source of protein and cheap, but a lot of people cook it once eat it with some bbq sauce and are turned off by the taste.

Hama, I know your diet differs to mine a fair bit in terms of carb intake, but would that be an evening meal or a post gym meal?

I haven't got a recipe or anything to add, but this might belong here.

When I want to work out my macros and all that jazz, although not always 100%, I always check CalorieKing, here's an example:

Calories in Macro Meats, Game: Kangaroo, Mince, raw

1 x 100g serving

Calories 103 ( Kilojoules 429 )

Total Fat - 1.3g - 2% DI
Saturated Fat - 0.3 g - 2% DI

Cholesterol 0g - 0% DI

Sodium - 45 mg - 2% DI

Carbohydrate - 0.3 g - 0% DI
Sugars - 0.1g

Dietary Fibre - 0%

Protein - 22.1 g

Kangaroo meat is one of the best meats in terms of nutrients IMO

The Rice/Kangaroo etc is my post gym meal. I workout, have my shake (which has stacks of carbs) come home and cook this and then eat that.

I can recommend some resources

- DVD 'hungry for change' - uncovers reasons behind obesity, focuses almost on a paleo-diet as solution. Looks at obesity from the perspective of economics, addiction, and micronutirents.
- Sweet poison by David Gillespie - focuses on evils of sugar. Interestingly most current aussie diet guidelines eliminates sugar as much as possible
- Dr Phil Ultimate Weight Solution - using advice of this was how I lost 50kg myself. In essence, if you want to be a thin person, you must live like a thin person.

Thoughts on turkey? On paper it looks good but never see many people eating it.
