    Hi Guys,

Sorted out the key problem with my mates V6 VX.

Another issue has arose. When the vehicle is started and revved, its just goes up to 1800rpm, hesitates and then dies. It seemed like a fuel pressure issue so i hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and the pressure is around 300kpa and flow is around 1.5 litres. When the engine is revved, the fuel pressure and flow rates are normal until it cuts out. The vehicle cannot be driven as it cuts out. This symptom is with the vehicle in park.

We hooked up our scan tool and there are no trouble codes and all readings for the sensors are ok.

I swapped the air flow meter from a working car and it was still the same. I also swapped the ignition coils as well but no luck.

My mates vehicle was under water and the ECU and BCM were covered in water as well. I took them out and sprayed it with electric cleaner.

Im suspecting its either the ECU or the ignition module.

Can i just swap the ECU from a working vehicle or do i need the BCM and the key head as well?

I would appreciate all the help i can get fellas as the holden dealer here doesnt have a clue.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Michael

Swap the ECU from a working car and try that. You don't need to change the BCM.
