So after playing around with the software from envious customs I updated the fuel calibration part of the software. Whatever happened it cause my car to give me a low fuel error each time I started the car. Even though the tank was full and the needle worked like it should. I ended up changing fuel pumps injectors only for the problem to still be present. I did contact and speak to envious customs to outcome.
I then had a conversation with a Holden tech who suggested plugging it into the Holden software and update the software. After a 2.min update the low fuel Wareing went away. It honestly cause me so must stress and anxiety and cost me a lot of money too
When updating to the latest fuel calibrations on a Holden VZ Instrument Cluster, the Engine Control Module (ECM) requires an update as well so the fuel mapping matches otherwise it can throw a fuel error on the display.
Below is an image of a VZ engine computer calibration update history from Holden, I have highlighted the line of interest which is indicating the engine computer required an update along with the instrument cluster. This update was back from 2005 which should have been part of warranty servicing.
The Envyous Customs Body Diagnostics software always puts the latest fuel calibrations into the clusters. So you would have had a mismatched engine computer fuel calibration and instrument cluster which resulted in the fuel gauge error.
