VY Berlina Commodore Wagon
Hi All.

Recently had my car stolen and the grubs who took it did quite a bit of damage to the interior console, gear surround and dash. All the bits I want to replace are now obsolete at Holden. Just wondering of anyone knows of any suppliers of obsolete holden parts. Am looking to replace with new parts as the interior was immaculate before it was stolen so not looking for second hand unless it's mint. Thanks

There is a mob on eBay called Barn-find Spares that seem mostly to specialise in early Torana NOS and secondhand but do have some other models listed. They may be able to help you out with a source.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
I can appreciate this. I keep my interiors clean as and having scratches etc is not on.

My advice is to source them from a wrecker, being fussy as you go.
You can fix scuffed and scratched plastic panels with a heat gun.
Heat the plastic (off the car) and minor imperfections vanish. Looks new.
I had a hard time finding good panels for around the gear shifter, so decided to have a bunch of trims sprayed gloss black and matched up. Looks really good. Better than factory.

I got a new steering column shroud last week for the VZ. The one I got was covered in schmutz. A clean with wax and grease remover, then a good wash in dishwashing liquid, heat gunned it, then soaked with aerospace 303 overnight and it looks like it is new.
