Australian Chevrolet dealers will soon offer the 2018 Camaro by mid-year. Imported and converted to right hand drive by HSV, it will be offered as a single V8 coupe model with the better equipped 2SS spec. The motor will of course be GM’s 6.2l LT1 V8, with an expected output of 340kW and 615Nm of twist. Buyers can choose between a six speed manual or an eight speed auto with paddle shift as standard. GM claims that 0-100kph is dispatched in four seconds for the auto, 4.3 for the manual. The premium spec SS which it is based off will come with a long list of standard equipment, including performance suspension, four-piston Brembo brakes up front, 20in wheels, HID, and dual-outlet exhaust. Powered front heated seats, dual zone climate control, Bose sound system and leather interior round out the specs.
