Oh my bad it doesn't look as bad on the iPad screen, it probably looked funny to me because I had my monitor on gaming mode (100 contrast and brightness).

Hi guys, can I ask a favour please... well, 2 actually lol

Would someone be kind enough to change the vehicle colour to silver and remove the orange strip.

And then a second image with the body left as silver, but the wheel colour also changed to gunmetal.

I have a silver VE SV6 and the opportunity to get a set of these exact wheels. I'm keen to see what the car would look like with the wheels fitted, but also to see what it might look like if I then got the wheels powdercoated in gunmetal.

Soon as I get myself a copy of photoshop I'll go hrough the tutorials so I can do this kinda thing myself, but in the meantime I'd really appreciate any assistance.

    Thanks all.

Why don't you just post a photo of your car and we can photoshop the pentagons onto your car?

    Yep, I can do.

But I only have stock 18s on my car and thought by only having to change the colour on the above pic, and not having to resize the wheels or anything, the final result would be a closer approximation to what my car would actually look like in the end?

But I'm obviously no expert on this so more than happy to go with whatever option you guys think will work better.

    Thanks

EDIT - I know the body of the 2 cars will differ slightly but the part I'm most keen to see is how the wheels (in both silver and gunmetal) sit against the colour of my car.

Changing from a black car to a silver is hard enough... Then you've got that sticker at the bottom which would look really flat when removed and be alot of effort.

All that opposed to simply adding rims to a car... I know which I'd prefer to do. If you are worried about size, well there's no exact science but we try to get it really close

Edit: using that pix above is no good anyways. It's a hsv which obviously has the big kit and massive brakes

Makes sense now, thanks for the feedback.

I'll get a clean pic of my vehicle up soon and maybe try and find a decent res pic of the wheels as well.

    Cheers

    Sweet, cheers for that

I've attached a pic of my vehicle now, but if it helps, I can also take another one from the same angle as the donor pic?

vex - do you have any better quality photos? that photo is really grainy and is not suited to what you want...

40/20 - I can give it a shot, hate doing direct side on shots because they hardly ever look realistic

Edit: Won't be until late tonight, about to start work for the day

Ah yes thats what I was after, perfect... I reckon I'd be pretty happy with that, especially if I got the calipers sprayed red and dropped it an inch or so.

Thanks for your efforts TinSnips, I think you've helped me finally make a decision on this.

And a big thanks to Rich as well for all the advice.

    Cheers fellas
