Hello. How often would you change the engine oil on the VF? Every 5000k or would you go 15000k? I think 15000 is too long. Thanks.

5000km is overkill with synth oil...
15000 is too long for car driven in the city traffic...
Every 10 000 is probably good medium....

How many kms do you do in a year ?
What kind of driving ?

vz sedan vs ute gsx1400
halve it 7500 ks or 9 months what ever come first some people will even suggest 5000km or 6 months only got to see some pics of engines full of sludge
also depends how long you plan to keep the vf and a good service history will be good for resale value

I do mine every 5,000km, always have done 5k intervals on every vehicle I've owned except my vt as it's a camp car I don't hugely care for so that gets 10k changes. For me personally I work off 5k intervals for anything performance based/driven hard semi-regularly and 10k for a daily driver/A-B type car, 15k intervals are way too long for anything for my liking .

Yeh I used to have a 150km return trip for work 90% highway running under 2000 rpm so did 10k changes, modern oils and biggers sump capacity I do 7500 changes in VE V6 Vf2 V8 , Prado get 5k changes due to there oil pick up blockages and PX2 ranger at 10k.

Freeway, highway driving: 10,000 to 15,000km / 6 to 8 months
City driving with a lot of stop-starting and poor engine temp.: less than 10,000km (I'm thinking 7,000km as that is the interval I adopted with my first V6 26 years ago).

Stop start city driving is considered to be severe conditions.

^ So considering most cars are sold to city folks, who drive in stop start conditions, you'd think the motoring journo's would focus more appropriately on such. Sadly the journo's reviews seem to focus on a normal service schedule rather than the manufacturers moe appropriate severe driving service schedule. Guess their masters can't have their cars seem more expensive to own  so likely the masters wack their lap dogs into submission

Thank you all, every 12 month will do just fine. I own 3 cars so I don’t use the same car every day, I do about 4000 k in each car ( or there about), I will make it 12 months regardless, unless I can just do it every 7500 even if it take 2 years between changes.
