Oil light when starting

My 5 litre VR Calais displays the oil warning light for 15 seconds when it is cold. Then it goes off until next time I do a cold start.

I've done an oil change and the car's done 350xxx odd kms.

Would I be right in thinking possibly a blocked oil pickup in the sump?

turn key crank but don`t let it start turn key off.
turn key and let start.
see what happens.
