Just wondering if any one has hooked up an electrical autometer oil pressure gauge on an ls1 motor and where abouts did you bolt the sender unit fitting into?

Was thinking off getting one off the oil filter plate to connect into or a t-piece fitting were the factory oil press. sensor is.
Any one done this before or have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

All good ordered a sandwich plate to plug into, might run an oil cooler and t-piece the pressure switch off it.

You can either buy a sandwich plate earls make one that people always seem to be happy with or you can run a t piece from behind the intake manifold where the pressure switch is
Disregard this just read your second post

all good, yeh the t-piece one haven't been able to find one to suit the size of the ls1 factory switch, forgot about earls, didn't get an earls one, have ordered another one, its not vdo but a similar company through the local auto bahn near work. Hopefully its a good one, its got a 2" body and cost me as much as the autometer gauge.

auto meter has a write-up on their website in the Q&A section on fitting gauge senders to LS motors. its worth a read.

oh cool will check that out.

Had a look, good info, going to tap into the spot on the oil filter housing if there's room with the headers, i liked the look off there custom range.
