Oil pump priming need help

Can someone plz explain how to plime the oil pump because iv heard to use vaso

Just finished rebuilding a ecotec with l67 had it running yesterday but the head were tapping like crazy had a look online and some guy said to fill the pump gears with vaso to create a negative vac in the pump to start the oil flow to the heads
L67?
prime oil pump???

Take the oil filter housing extension off and use an oil can to push some oil into the oil pump and pre-fill the oil filter before refitting.. Unplug the DFI module and crank the engine until you get oil pressure before firing up.

The V6 uses a gyrator style oil pump, as long as it's not bone dry I would expect it should work.

I use an old fire extinguisher. After half filling with oil i put a air fitting in the end of the hose, hold the trigger down and pressurise the tank. I then change the fitting to suit the oil gallery i am going to prelube.
