I was hoping someone can help me out by telling me what is the cause of the orange coloured oil / sludge in my radiator of my VX.
I'm scared of what its going to cost if I take it to a mechanic.

Inlet Manifold Gasket has decided to end its life, I was told that you should change them every 150,000ks..
Speak to forum sponsor MACE Engineering about the Aluminum type that have a life time warranty if you want to fix it yourself :)

by the look of that it is oil in your coolant. it is either leaking inlet manifold gasket (most likely if your cars not over heating) or a blown head gasket.

Thanks guys. It wasn't overheating so I'm thinking it must be the Inlet manifold gasket. I will replace that.
How do I get rid of the oil in the coolant? Flush it all out?
Thank you.

once you have replaced the gasket, do an oil flush and fresh oil and your set.

You will also need to drain the radiator too so you don't gum it up with the sludge (a radiator flush would be a good idea)

when u've replaced the problem gasket, get some radiator flush and use as per directions on the bottle.
