does the engine of my vp v6 need to be removed if i am wanting to replace the oil gasket on the sump? if so how much whould this set me back?

normally you have to lift the engine to get the sump off, i have however done it without removing the engine by dropping the sump, then unbolting the oil pickup by reaching inside the sump etc but this is difficult and then with the pickup gone you can get the sump out carefully. you do need patience for this however.:yeah:

edit: i did have my gearbox of at the time as i was replacing the clutch end getting the flywheel ground
