If you waaant, make sure you drain the oil really well after though. I'd recommend you change the oil every 5,000ks, and drop it when it's warm, shouldn't really need engine flush, could cause more trouble than it's worth. Just my opinion though.

Use that oil flush if you want to find more oil leaks. You will find it will cause all sorts of issues with seals.

If you like it, want it to last, or are worried about the oil system do it every five. I don't think oil pressure is your starting problem. Is it only hard to start after sitting for a while? (i.e. pressure reg.)

I have over 415,000 km's on my old vq stato 5lt. I change oil and filter every 5,000 km's with Castrol 20w50 and oil filter from holden. Its still going strong.

As above, service every 5000km when the engine is warm.

I use penrite HRP30 (so does most of the guys on AussieV8 with stock and worked 304/308's).

Don't use flush as it will do more damage on a 5L, it will move all of the crap in the engine and suck it up into the oil pickup and block it, this is where most 5L's fail.
