Opinion needed - SSV instrument cluster

I can get Programmed SSV instrument cluster with coloured middle screen for $450.

My SS has monochrome version atm but the rest of the cluster is the same...

It's easy install but not sure if it's worth the money...

Thoughts ?

450 is a bit steep but i suppose if it is the cluster supplied with your vin flashed into the eeprom it is a viable option if you really want the color background.

it is about $230 for the cluster on ebay so the rest is for someone spending about 15 minutes programming it and shipping.

Apart from nicer graphics and colour, does the SSV cluster have any additional options compared to standard SS cluster ?

180 for 15 minutes is up there with lawyer rates lol.

The standard ssv cluster is the same but you can get a performance menu enabled for a further 165 on ebay

I have that menu already enabled on my stock cluster...

Tempted....but unsure if $450 is worth it for a small better looking screen.... hmmmm

You actually lose the fuel used reading when transferring from monochrome to the coloured cluster. Aside from that and the pretty pictures, no you don't lose any functionality as far as I know.
I think you're better spending $450 on something else!

I’d recommend trying to find someone that can reprogram yours to the police spec. No speedo being out by 3 kms and ability to “capture” your speed at a certain point.

Would go well with your performance menu you had turned on.
