VE SS manual
I didn't want to comment on the centre because I don't actually know what sort of diffs ve's have. But if they're anything like the m80 centres then they suck. If it's already singling and you're rebuilding your diff you may aswell get a truetrac and solve the issue forever.

about 1000rpm doing 60 with standard 3.45 gears.

that was my thinking going the tru trac so the issue is solved forever and i dont have to worrie if the diff i gana #### out this week or next week ect

6th gear wasn't designed for this speed and as such would be exposed to forces beyond the design. I'd say it would break it eventually.

And you'll be using more fuel, is there any optimum gear change listing in the service manual?

all thats in the manual is get into top gear as soon as posible without labouring the engine. this was in thw how to reduce fuek economy. and ive done test in engneering mode and using 6th at 60 uses less fuel then 5th. its common sence.

Coasting yeah but a slight gradient and you'll labour and use more fuel.
Tru trak doesn't guarantee no diff problems.

yes i sort of said it all wrong. im only in 6th at 60 when cruising along. when there hills or anything i go back to 5th.

im thinking the tru trac would be alot more reliable then the factory lsd

Hi all,

This may be a little off track, but can someone tell me what diff gears my 2006 VE Calais V V8 with LSD option has? Been trying to research but am a little confused by different opinions I've come across.

Should be 2.92 which is the same as my 2010 SSV Auto Wagon. A change to 3.5 would be glorious... but I'm waiting for a lazy $1500:rofl2:
