opinions on dreadlocks (not my type of Question)

so many replies and yet not 1 members picture that says alot, dont do dreads they are "homo" hehe

blonde surfie style that is quite short=cool
long rock/grunge style that is poorly maintained usually teamed up with lots of lip rings etc=NOT cool

and as said a million times i8t easily looks dirty

 

Had dreads for nearly 15 years. I got rid of them when I moved to the US. The humidity with where I was living was incredible, I was them in the morning and by mid afternoon I could swear that I was being followed by a wet dog.

When I was home in Aus though there was no humidity and they were great, wash them daily, keep the wax into them and never had an issue withlice, spiders or rats lol



Sorry, just had to add that, I once had a little old lady ask if I was afraid of rats breeding in them....

 

Mate of mine has the locks. They suit him pretty well.
When playing footy, the oppostion will call him john butler... (john butler has no hair now)

I have dreads, have had em for 7 years... Used to wash em with plain over the counter shampoo and it worked fine, now I use the proper dread shampoo they sell here Dreadlocks pictures, information, products and it works even better. Never had lice or any other weird **** in em. My hair is cleaner and looked after better than 90% of my male friends. Helps that my girlfriend is a hairdresser and helps out a lot keeping them looking good.

 

I went to a Metallica concert and had some freak's manky dreadlocks whip me in the face whilst he was moshing. I felt like stabbing him in the eye a pencil, good thing for him I left my Steadtler HB at home. Not cool at all.
