I want to put sports ryder on a VYII Calais and am after opinions and experiences with it. If anyone has better suggestions I'm all ears so fire away.

Been quoted $1550 installed with new strut top rubbers and bearings with allignment all round.

    Pics would be great too

King springs with KYB shocks would be a better choice.

Edit: Alignments shouldn't be done straight after either, you should drive the car for about 100-200kms before aligning so that the suspension has time to settle.

I've got a set of FE2 ryders in the shed waiting to go, but it'd be impossible to enter any sort of carpark with the SSX front on it if i went any lower than standard.. If you only put lowered springs in the back of a car does it mess up the handling at all?

I had sports ryder fitted to my car until recently as I wanted go lower :D have a look at the pic to the far right here, that's how my car sat just after it was done, once settled it sat a touch lower, in my personal experience the ride was better then the original FE2 I had in it and handled quite well :)

If you budget stretches far enough I would go king springs and koni adjustable shocks!

You'll definitely end up with a compliant and comfortable ride :) Though $$$ :(

Ok dont flame me for this as im only relaying what i heard from the bloke @ pedders!
I was told that pedders are the only company who make true Australian sports shocks period! and that all the others brands in his opinion are not as good mainly because they are manufactured in china (think he said china lol) and due to this fact they are not designed around Australian conditions whereas the gas sports ryders are. anyway that's just what the bloke said, and he is probably only just saying this 2 get his product out the door ect but anyway i snagged a pair for my charger and i wont complain for $200, but yeah just my 2c worth from what i have heard on the grape vine:)

Yeah he was just flogging his own product, there's nothing wrong with pedder's suspension in fact my whole car had pedders' in it until recently I just couldn't get it any lower with their stuff, I have found though they don't like lowering cars to low, the coils I posted above I had to go to 3 pedder's stores to get it that low and that's not overly low.

I've also found the prices between stores vary a bit too so it might be wise to shop around between a few different stores if you can.
