Opinions sought. VL with sunroof

Hi all, I have a barn find VL Commodore turbo fitted with a sunroof. As far as I know it was not an option Holden offered. Before I strip the car down for rust repair and repainting I need to decide whether to keep the sunroof or ditch it. What do the experts say?

I'm no expert but I would patch it

I'm a big fan of original body panels, cutting a hole in the roof, of what I believe is one of the best model commodores, is sacrilegious.

non genuine.. any sunroof on a VL
GMH only ever offered a factory sunroof on VK

so really?.. up to you to keep or fill in
