I need help on choosing for the time being..
I dont know if I should get my air con fixed or get a lukey airfilter to help improve my fuel econ?

I could have a smooth run with getting my air con fixed with small amount of cash.. or run into a big bill.. I know theres no gas in the system and the air con compressor bearings are stuffed..

also, What are the pros and the cons of the LSD? would it be worth getting? Would it help improve fuel econ at all? I know its good for handling and perfomance and what not.. but would I get good fuel econ.

and no I dont want a Toyota Prius..

personally i think its better to have a mechanically A1 car then have a half baked idea.
especially with summer coming up, aircon is defo the better idea.

The aircon will make you use more fuel but you will do it in comfort so that gets my vote. Be aware that a new compressor plus gas etc will not leave much change out of $1000.
None of the other items you suggest will decrease your fuel consumption OR improve performance - to achieve this you'd be better off driving with economy in mind and forget the performance bit. The side benefit is that you get to keep your license.:beer chug:

The air con shouldn't be too bad to fix. A re-gassing is only $150ish from memory and you could get a new compressor from the wreckers or maybe have get someone to replace the bearings. My mate replaced the air con bearings in his Magna himself and got away with it for pretty cheap. Don't know whats involved for a commodore though.

As for Performance mods, LSD is the go for sure. No point making more power if your just gonna wheelspin
