2003 Vy s series 2.
title says it all fellas... recently installed 19inch rims on vy s series 2 commodore... the rim and tyres(245/35/19) came with 39 psi, and i reckon it's too far out from the optimum pressure. What would be the optimum psi for 19s?
Thanks fellas.

I have the same rims and I'm pretty sure the tires are the same. Now I have a 2012 VE but I'd say that wouldn't matter. My hand book from memory (again...) says 38psi. I remember reading on a forum post somewhere by a few people to run about 40psi.
I run 38psi.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

36-39psi should see you in the right direction.
Personal prefrence comes into it a bit.

I used to run 39psi, I now run 36psi.
I noticed a slight increase in fuel useage. 0.01 on the dash.

40 or 42 psi. I fit tyres so I would know. The owners handbook lists a low psi for driver comfort, not for fuel consumption or tyre wear. Most tyres wear on the edges, which is mostly due to under inflation. If you have more psi in them, it makes the centre wear more and that means less rolling resistance, meaning the tyres last longer, and uses less fuel. I would never put any less than 40psi in any rim that is 17 inch or above

I agree with "richardpalinkas" especially with 35 series tyres as it gives a stiffer side wall to better deal with potholes, plus the car handles better on higher pressure.
I run mine at 39-40 and the irde is still good on my senator.
