VT Supercharged
Hi,
what would it cost to get a supercharged motor rebuilt after it has done a few Klm's?
there is nothing wrong with car but just thought i'd ask when the time comes is it worth re-conditioning or going second hand?
is there many second hand supercharged motors out there? or are they hard to come by?
Are they internally different from the standard V6's? other than compression?
sorry for the newbie q's, first commodore I've had
thanks

VY II 3.8
There's more internal difference than simply the compression.

Ive read somewhere on here that pistons, rods, balance shaft & harmonic balancer are different. Must be afew more things too.

Easiest thing to do would be to source a low km variant i would have thought?

Less $ on labour as there's less stuffing around.

Might be a good excuse to throw in a more modern V8?

yeah, I will keep it as a six, as it has never been opened up and is still in good condition.
